FIELD SUPERVISOR TRAVEL RETAIL (Brazil, Argentina, Chile & Uruguay)

Reports to: Sales Area Manager

Contract: Full-time and permanent position

YOUR ROLE @CHANEL

Leads and motivates the team of Beauty Advisors, ensuring brand strategy execution in airports/duty-free, managing sales targets, overseeing merchandising, conducting training, analyzing performance, and coordinating with stakeholders like marketing/operations to drive growth in a dynamic, high-volume environment.

Team Management & Training

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of brand ambassadors, beauty advisors.
    • Organize & conduct regular training sessions to ensure team knowledge of product features, benefits, and selling techniques.
    • Prepare and execute training induction sessions for new BA’s.
    • Lead Q&A sessions with BA’s, CM, BM, of modules taught by the training department to ensure proper understanding of content and provide feedback for future training modules development.
    • Maintain constant refreshment of product and brand knowledge.
    • Supervise and manage BAs in terms of sales performance, product knowledge and proactivity at POS.
    • Monitor and assess team performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
    • Organize and implement merchandising training sessions for clients and retail sales staff aboard
  • Establish themself as the brand referent for the staff on board to ensure CHANEL remains the most relevant F&B brand.

Sales & Performance Monitoring

  • Track and analyze sales data (retail, MS, ranking), identifying trends (retailer and competition trends) and opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor inventory levels: Best Sellers & “Freshness” & feedback manager to ensure adequate stock while avoiding overstock situations.
  • Suggest ideas to increase the relevance of launches: visibility, promotions, additional space in store, media opportunities, and identify trends
  • Competitive surveillance and feedback
    • Price tracking and records on competition (price, launches, space and promotions).
    • Check competition and recommend new ways at improving sell out and image in accordance with brand marketing policies and guidelines
  • Collaborate with in-store teams to optimize product placement, promotions, event, and visibility.
    • Ensure the assortment per store is properly implemented and monitor stock situation / level
    • Plan and execute promotional events, product launches, and sampling activities when required.
    • Coordinate with marketing teams and store managers to maximize events impact.
    • Implement promotional and merchandising plan according to our marketing strategy
    • Check merchandise collaterals for events or promotions
    • Revision of the assortment and presentation of new products and launches

Brand Image & Customer Experience

  • Ensure consistent adherence to brand guidelines, maintaining a luxury image at all points of contact (merchandising, BC grooming, Visual)
    • Ensure PQ are met (Planograms reco)
    • Ensure merchandising planograms, visuals and other materials are in place and correctly displayed working closely with VM team.
    • Keep visuals (transparencies) updated, confirming measurements and final installations
    • Implement merchandising and promotional programs in order to develop and increase sales
    • In coordination with Architecture, MPOS and Trade Marketing, track visuals (transparencies) updated, confirming measurements and final installations
    • Partner with store management and staff to maintain a high standard of customer service.

Operational Excellence

  • Conduct store visits to ensure merchandising standards, cleanliness, and compliance with brand policies.
  • Suggest ideas to increase brand performance in terms of sales and image: visibility, promotions, additional space in store, media opportunities, and identify trends.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on field activities, including performance metrics and feedback from customers and staff.
  • Ability to define and manage schedule
  • Contact clients directly but cc Sales Area Manager and Sales Executive.
  • Prepare a photographic report pre and post visits, including videos of the Chanel spaces, beauty area and general retail area and floorplan. 
  • Reports on visits: description, pictures, competition, stocks etc.
  • Prepare and follow the travel/visits calendar previously agreed with the sales manager and sales executive, according to the needs based on strategy, and set all trips 3 months ahead of time. 
  • Prepare and share expense estimations prior each trip and validate it with the sales manager.
  • Prepare the expense report and share for approval.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Candidates must be fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish.

  • 5+ years of experience in management, developing markets, coaching and talent development, performance-driven mindset and with Effective communication preferably in the luxury and/or beauty industry.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel requiered with strong analytical skills and attention to detail when working with large data sets.

  • Also, demonstrable skills in organization, communication, teamwork, prioritization of tasks, results-oriented, people management, and advanced MS Office Suite

  • Critical enabler for the organization to optimize performance, drive sales growth, and ensure that its strategies are aligned with both market trends and consumer needs.
