Specific Responsibilities Would Include

1. Product Management & Vendor Relations:• Negotiate bulk pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.• Quickly sort and analyze complex order data, resolving sample issues efficiently to minimize rework and ensure timely submission of pre-production work.• Monitor bulk order shipments to ensure they are dispatched on schedule. Identify root causes of quality or delivery issues and negotiate solutions with suppliers to maintain smooth order flow.• Anticipate risks such as supplier capacity shortages and fabric delays, adjusting plans as necessary by utilizing backup suppliers or urgent purchases.• Leverage expertise in cold-weather products to meet customer demands for assigned product lines.2. Production Monitoring and Order Management:• Monitor suppliers through T&A/WIP to identify early risks. Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) to confirm standards in advance and conduct random product inspections to prevent bulk quality issues.• Maintain familiarity with quality control standards and ensure compliance through proactive spot-checking.• Identify and forecast risks, adjusting plans accordingly to mitigate impacts on production schedules and customer satisfaction.3. Pre-order and Post-order Management:• Collaborate with the U.S. team to negotiate pricing and lead times with factories, preparing costing charts as needed.• Generate PT forms and order charts for each product line, distributing them to the Operations Management (OM) team and factories.• Monitor the Vendor Purchase Order (VPO) creation process, ensuring factories complete and refine WIP forms, relaying updates to the U.S. production team weekly.4. Independent Brand Management:• Manage assigned product orders, including hats, beanies, scarves, and gloves, serving as the key communicator within the business stream.• Act as the steady point of contact for products, fluent in all guidelines and order-execution workflows despite turnover in the production team.5. Order Management:• Take responsibility for specific orders, leveraging in-depth knowledge of requirements and workflows.• Guide and correct suppliers while ensuring effective communication with production counterparts regarding testing, packaging, and coordinating third-party inspections.6. Other tasks as assigned by the manager.

 

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

Additional Requirements & Contributions,• Bachelor's degree in a related field.• Minimum 5 years of experience in merchandising.• Expert knowledge of CW construction, manufacturing, and cost drivers.• Independent, self-motivated, and able to work effectively with senior management.• Strong leadership potential and the ability to guide junior team members.• Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and negotiation skills.• Able to multi-task, prioritize effectively, and work under pressure.• High level of interpersonal skills to communicate and influence effectively in a multicultural environment.• Proficient in SAP, INFOR NEXUS, Microsoft Office, Excel.
