Product Development

From sourcing raw materials to manufacturing, order placement, pricing, quality control and getting the finished product where it needs to be, our production/product development team is responsible for ensuring we keep our standards high and our business profitable at every step of the journey. Specific Responsibilities Would Include

The Manager, Product Development drives seasonal product initiatives by partnering with cross‑functional teams—including Production, Design, Sales, and Overseas offices—to develop and execute assigned product lines. The role primarily focuses on apparel development, with additional responsibility for trims and packaging across Robert Graham and Saks Fifth Avenue Private Label.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage all aspects of the product development process
  • Communicate shared qualities and fabrics between Robert Graham and Saks Fifth Avenue to ensure alignment across brands
  • Maintain continuous communication with design and raw materials teams to support collaboration throughout development
  • Partner closely with hub and vendor teams to ensure understanding of vendor capabilities and drive initiatives that expand competencies as needed
  • Analyze product costs, identify price discrepancies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to create solutions
  • Oversee cross-functional calendar adherence; communicate risks, deadlines, and business impacts when deliverables are at risk
  • Lead vendor counter-sourcing initiatives aligned with overall sourcing strategy
  • Manage new vendor onboarding and ensure all internal partners are connected and prepared to support production needs
  • Facilitate vendor meetings to review in-season development, production, and delivery challenges and drive solutions
  • Identify business risks and opportunities, escalate appropriately, and propose actionable recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate closely with design and merchandising on product creation from concept to execution
  • Serve as primary liaison connecting production with design and merchandising teams
  • Work with mills to gather and negotiate material costs, MOQs, and lead times
  • Track raw material movement from mills to factories for sample development
  • Create and maintain comprehensive product recap documentation

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have

  • 2–4 years of experience in apparel production and sourcing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); advanced Excel skills required
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong team orientation and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of garment manufacturing, construction, and fabrication

Salary Range: $86,400 - $108,000

Our job postings include an annual base salary range at the time of employment. The stated base salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on several factors, including the selected candidate's educational and professional experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the selection process. Base salary is a part of a total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, annual bonus and other Centric Brands sponsored benefit programs.
