Responsibilities
The Regional Residential Rehabilitation Manager directs and coordinates activities of personnel in the CNS Residential Rehabilitation Programs in California and Texas to carry out the objectives in the provision of rehabilitative care. Work is full time during weekdays with some evenings and weekends. On-call work is required. Work is performed at the residential programs in California and Texas with some work at the clinic and/or in the community. Is on the premises as necessary to manage and administer the facility in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The residential sites may include apartment complexes with one or two stories, townhouses with one or two stories, and/or homes in the community.
Qualifications
Experience and Education:
The Regional RRM/Administrator shall have graduated from high school, or possess a GED, and shall have one of the following prior to employment.
a. Completion, with a passing grade, of 60 college or continuing education semester or equivalent quarter units, six of which shall be in administration or staff relationb. Three years work experience in residential care, one year of which shall have been providing direct care to patients or assisting in facility administration.
Working knowledge of rehabilitative care is preferred.
The Regional RRM shall have the following qualifications:
a. Must be at least 21 years of age.
b. Knowledge of the requirements for providing the type of care and supervision needed by patients, including ability to communicate with such patients.
c. Knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable law and regulation.
d. Ability to maintain or supervise the maintenance of financial and other records.
e. Ability to direct the work of others, when applicable.
f. Ability to establish the facility’s policy, program and budget.
g. Ability to recruit, employ, train, and evaluate qualified staff, and to terminate employment of staff, if applicable to the facility.
Experience in which potential administrative and supervisory competence has been demonstrated is required.
Must maintain CPR, First Aid, Behavior Tools, and Pro-ACT Certifications.
In California, within six months of becoming the Regional RDS, the individual shall receive training on HIV and TB. Thereafter, the Regional RDS shall receive updated training every two years. During the two-year certification period, the Regional RDS shall complete at least forty (40) classroom hours of continuing education. Continuing education hours must relate to the Core of Knowledge and be courses provided by State approved vendors or accredited educational institutions, including 1 hour of LGBT required per year.
