Join the School of Education and the Arts and provide high-level administrative support to the VET Leadership team. As a School Administration Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Deputy Dean VET, Educational Team Leads and VET educators, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with University policies and procedures.

 

You’ll assist with a range of tasks including recruitment activities, timetabling coordination, committee support, student enquiries and document preparation. From maintaining accurate records and preparing reports to coordinating events and enhancing processes, you’ll help ensure the effective and efficient delivery of services across the team. This is a varied and fast-paced role that offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a collaborative environment.

Position Requirements

 

  • Demonstrated proficiency with the MS Office Suite and business support software, with the ability to quickly learn relevant policies, procedures and organisational systems.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, time‑management and problem‑solving skills, with the capacity to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience liaising effectively with staff and stakeholders, handling complex or sensitive matters while maintaining positive client relationships.
  • Ability to deliver high‑level administrative support, including preparing detailed documents and reports, managing client enquiries, and providing professional secretarial and committee support.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience, with desirable knowledge of University systems such as EMPower, AIMS, Finance One, Student One, SONIA, CRM and Moodle. (Desirable)
