About this role

Summary

Rice Memorial hospital has an incredible opportunity for a skilled acute care nurse to join their In-patient Behavioral Health team. 

The RN in the In-patient Behavioral Health unit uses the basic level of professional nursing practice. She/he identifies and implements nursing interventions that have less predictable outcomes and evaluates the results of these interventions for a given patient population. A nurse at this level may be required to assume leadership responsibility.

Schedule

  • 64 hours every two weeks 

  • Rotating day, evening and night shifts (8-hour shifts)

  • Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation

Pay and Benefits

  • Pay based on experience and degree
    • Associate/Diploma in nursing starting at $43.24 per hour
    • Bachelors in nursing starting at $43.61 per hour
    • Masters in nursing starting at $45.79 per hour
  • Full pay range: $43.24 - $65.47 per hour

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Minnesota.
  • Working knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, public, and other providers.
  • A knowledge of growth and development; specifically, an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological maturation process.
  • An understanding of the range of treatment needed by patients of all ages in relation to the growth and development processes to include neonate, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

 

To be eligible for the hiring bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previous CentraCare employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.

Relocation assistance requirements: Must accept a position that offers benefits. Must currently reside more than 50 miles away from Willmar, Minnesota and relocate to within 30 miles any time before and no later than 120 days after you start work. May not have worked for CentraCare in the past nine months.
