Exciting Opportunity: Faculty Position for a Passionate Family Medicine Physician

 

The University of Minnesota/CentraCare St. Cloud Family Medicine Residency program is seeking a Core Faculty Physician who is enthusiastic about preparing the next generation of physicians for practice. Whether you're passionate about teaching, maternity care, inpatient medicine, or program development, we are committed to creating a role that aligns with your strengths and interests.

 

Position Overview:

  • FTE: 0.7–1.0
  • Precepting Residents: Engage in teaching and guiding residents in the clinic or the hospital (approximately 40% of time).
  • Clinical Practice: Provide clinical care in our residency clinic (approximately 40% of time).
  • Administrative & Curriculum Development: Dedicated time for program administration and curriculum development (approximately 20% of time), including integration of our program’s training in lifestyle medicine.
  • Add your expertise: We welcome faculty with interests such as osteopathic manipulative therapy, addiction medicine, lifestyle medicine, maternity care, rural medicine, quality improvement, and other areas that enhance our curriculum.

Qualifications: 

  • Must be BE/BC and able to obtain a MN License. 
  • Experience as a Family Medicine Physician 

 

About Our Program:

  • Fully accredited community-based residency program since 1996
  • 18 residents (6-6-6)
  • Emphasis on full-spectrum family medicine training, including inpatient, outpatient, maternity care, and more
  • Collaboration with Willmar Rural Family Medicine Training Program and the St. Cloud campus of the University of Minnesota Medical School
  • Supportive environment with a well-rounded faculty
  • State-of-the-art hospital and outpatient clinic
  • Call is about 1:8
  • DOs highly encouraged to apply

 

Pay and Benefits

  • Starting pay (first year) begins at $322,131per year or $342,131 per year when doing OB; exact wage determined by years of related experience 
  • Salary range: $285,000-310,000
  • Salary and salary range are based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate
