This position is responsible for:
- Preparing meals and food items that support the dietary and food service needs of patients, visitors and employees.
- Ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation though the use of standardized recipes and adherence to HACCP guidelines.
- Ensuring the care and cleanliness of equipment, along with upholding sanitation standards.
- Collaborating with team members to support overall food preparation and kitchen cleanliness.
Schedule
- Part-time | 32 hours per two weeks.
- Various shifts between 5:30AM and 6:00PM, 8-hour shifts.
- Includes Every other weekend & holiday rotation.
Pay and Benefits
- $18.02 or more per hour, pay determined by experience.
- Pay range: $18.02 - $24.56 per hour.
- Part-time Benefits including medical & dental insurance, Paid Time Off and opportunity to save in a 401k.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- In lieu of post high school training, a minimum of one year of experience cooking/related experience in our hospital or similar institution, restaurant or catering production will be accepted.
- Experience cooking preferred.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to communicate and interact with patients, visitors, and employees in a professional, appropriate manner.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical skills required to complete clerical tasks.
