About this role
Our Surgical Technologists are there to prepare for a patient’s arrival and stay in the operating room to ensure their best possible outcome. You’ll prepare operating rooms for a wide range of surgeries and procedures and inventory surgical materials and tools to assure patient safety all while working closely with physicians, CRNA’s, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel in delivering quality patient care.
Schedule:
- Full-time | 60-80 hours per two week pay period
- Mainly weekday shifts between 6 a.m.-6 p.m.
- Call rotation for evenings and weekends approximately every 5th-6th weeknight and weekend with 35-minute response time
Pay and Benefits:
- Starting pay begins at $30.80 per hour; exact wage determined by years of related experience.
- Pay range: $29.48-$44.22 per hour
- Earn extra pay for working evening, night and weekend shifts.

Our Teams:
Within our Surgery department you will work on one of six specialized teams. This position will be a part of our Team 1: Urology, GYN, Ophthalmology. During the orientation process, you will cross train to all teams, so you are familiar with each.
- Team 1: Urology, GYN, Ophthalmology
- Team 2: Orthopedics, Podiatry
- Team 3: General, Bariatric, Plastics, Trauma
- Team 4: Neurosurgery, ENT, Dental, Pain
- Team 5: Cardiac, Vascular
- Team 6: Endovascular
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program required.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required (can be obtained upon hire)
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
To be eligible for the hiring bonus you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previous CentraCare employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.
Relocation Assistance Eligibility: Must accept a position that offers benefits and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. Must currently reside more than 50 miles away from St. Cloud Hospital and relocate to within 30 miles of it.
