Position Purpose:

Leads and directs the design, implementation, and communication of business continuance and disaster recovery plans and processes that ensure the security, availability and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology.

Facilitates enterprise risk analysis to identify critical business operations and systems to continued operations in the event of a disruption.

Approves and oversees the testing of recovery plans.

Manages the contracts with required vendors for off-site and other resources required for business continuity and recovery.

Develops and deploys plans, training, documentation, and communication of disaster procedures to the organization. Develops and implements service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors.

  • Develops, plans and implements a comprehensive IT disaster recovery (DR) program

  • Provides oversight of resilience-related data captured in the System of Record and CMDB to support accurate continuity and recovery reporting

  • Leads, plans, designs, implements, and organizes testing of DR strategies

  • Completes IT DR recovery procedures and work with technical teams to co-create IT DR recovery strategies, architectures and procedures

  • Conducts IT DR awareness sessions and identifies opportunity for continuous improvement of existing processes and procedures

  • Directs the management of the IT DR calendar, incorporating the activities designed to monitor the effectiveness of the IT DR framework

  • Participates with business unit staff members and external business partners for the purpose of planning, directing, controlling, and maintaining an effective testing plan

  • Provides leadership in assessing, and communicating recovery environment requirements

  • Manages risk mitigation processes, and facilitate resource contingency planning sessions with business teams

  • Leads discussions with vendors and suppliers. Develop, manage, execute contracts and agreements with vendors and suppliers

  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and requires 5 – 7 years of related experience.
Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:

  • One or more of the following skills are desired.

  • Experience with Business Continuity Planning; Disaster Recovery

  • Experience rationalizing, modeling, and governing large sets of structured data; defining authoritative sources, data quality controls, and ownership models.

  • Ability to create and maintain standardized resilience taxonomies, metadata models, and reference data aligned across technology and business teams.

  • Technical and business service mapping, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), and understanding of upstream/downstream dependencies.

  • Working knowledge of industry frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST, FFIEC, cloud resilience best practices).

  • Translating regulatory and risk requirements into technical controls, standards, and measurable outcomes.

  • Experience with resilience, continuity, CMDB, or GRC tools and platforms used to support Systems of Record.

Pay Range: $121,500.00 - $224,900.00 per year

Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules.  Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.  Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
