• Learn various job functions within the Managed Care industry and explore various career opportunities

• Apply academic knowledge and learn new skills by contributing to various projects

• Research various legal, regulatory, and other topics within functional area and industry

• Attend training and development presentations to enhance professional competencies
• Performs other duties as assigned

An intern in this role will be exposed to several aspects of health plan operations including, but not limited to:

• Data Analytics

• Finance

• Healthcare Transformation

• Marketing

• Population Health & Clinical Operations

• Product

• Provider Relations

• Quality

An intern in this role should be comfortable with:

• Data interpretation and excel functions

• Pro-actively anticipating business needs and problem solving effectively

• Effectively functioning in a dynamic environment with multiple initiatives happening at the same time

• Being interested and passionate about the intersection of business and healthcare

• Gaining experience functioning as an internal consultant to achieve business goals and objectives

Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period.

The salary range is: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, degree program, degree level, number of years of participation in the internship program, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
