Job Details
We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, particularly in the pharmaceutical or healthcare domain. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust backend services that support our applications and ensure data integrity, security, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs for server- and web-based eCommerce applications, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, product managers, architects, and quality assurance, to define and implement new features.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and minimal downtime.
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and comply with industry regulations.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance code quality.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development processes.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Work Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of proven experience as a Backend Developer, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Java programming, ideally with additional experience in other backend programming languages (e.g., C#, Python, Node.js). Spring is a plus.
- Strong experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Deep knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with typical enterprise developer tools such as Jira, Git, and Confluence, as well as CI/CD.
- Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with pharmaceutical industry standards, regulations, and compliance (e.g., GxP, FDA, DSCSA) is a plus.
- Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue, JSP) is a plus.
