This role is central to the day-to-day success of the business and contributes directly to operational performance and customer outcomes. As a Trainee Mechanical HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting experienced engineers on site, assisting with the installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems.

As a Trainee Mechanical HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting experienced engineers on site, assisting with the installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a technical environment and enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and making a tangible impact.
What you will do
- Travel UK-wide to work on commercial and domestic buildings (daily meet-up point with engineer before travelling to site). Assist with heating, cooling, ventilation and domestic water systems
- Support air and water system balancing using calibrated precision equipment
- Assist with flow rate calculations, pre-commission cleaning and system disinfection
- Support water treatment–related tasks as required
- Follow health & safety procedures while working collaboratively to maintain quality and compliance

You are a motivated and reliable individual with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. You enjoy hands-on work, are comfortable with physical tasks, and are keen to develop technical skills within a structured training environment.

Essential requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
- Willingness to work away from home Monday–Friday when required (all hotel and subsistence costs covered)
- Good mathematical ability
- Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with customers
- Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative
- Positive attitude towards health, safety and good working practices
