Job details
This role is central to the day-to-day success of the business and contributes directly to operational performance and customer outcomes. As a Trainee Mechanical HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting experienced engineers on site, assisting with the installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical and HVAC systems. 

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a technical environment and enjoys taking ownership, solving problems and making a tangible impact.

What you will do
  • Travel UK-wide to work on commercial and domestic buildings (daily meet-up point with engineer before travelling to site). Assist with heating, cooling, ventilation and domestic water systems
  • Support air and water system balancing using calibrated precision equipment
  • Assist with flow rate calculations, pre-commission cleaning and system disinfection
  • Support water treatment–related tasks as required
  • Follow health & safety procedures while working collaboratively to maintain quality and compliance
Who you are
You are a motivated and reliable individual with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. You enjoy hands-on work, are comfortable with physical tasks, and are keen to develop technical skills within a structured training environment.

Essential requirements:
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
  • Willingness to work away from home Monday–Friday when required (all hotel and subsistence costs covered)
  • Good mathematical ability
  •  Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with customers
  •  Self-motivated with the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Positive attitude towards health, safety and good working practices
