Description

Riverside Environmental Services Ltd is seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, re-engaging dormant accounts, and managing the full sales cycle within a B2B, consultative service-led environment.

Location: Kent or Birmingham
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum + uncapped OTE
(Expected first-year earnings circa £40,000)
Please note: This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check.

We are particularly interested in people with an Asbestos background


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete a structured 4-week training and onboarding programme covering company services, sales processes, and target strategy
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets through: Outbound B2B sales activity (prospecting, nurturing, converting new business)
  • Account management of lapsed and dormant clients
  • Maintain accurate records and pipeline updates using the CRM system (HubSpot desirable)
  • Liaise internally with technical departments to obtain pricing and prepare detailed proposals
  • Negotiate terms with clients to secure new and repeat business
  • Consistently meet performance targets, with progression opportunities linked to results


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Proven experience in B2B consultative sales within a service-based industry
  • Strong communication skills (telephone, email, and face-to-face)
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and results-driven approach
  • High level of organisation and time management
  • IT literate, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems (HubSpot desirable)
