Whether a patient has an acute or chronic condition related to their pancreas, bile ducts, esophagus or small bowel, the Cedars-Sinai Pancreatic and Biliary Diseases Program—one of only 10 National Institutes of Health-designated pancreatic disease centers in the U.S.—provides a range of services that few other medical centers can match. Its faculty doctors are clinical experts in evaluating and treating complex gastrointestinal issues. Patients come from around the world to receive timely, patient-centered care.

  • Assumes primary responsibility for the mentoring and coaching employees in one of the three professional advancement pathways (Clinical Quality, Education, Leadership) that most closely aligns with their skills.
  • Serves as a mentor on the unit with the goal of growing nurse engagement, professional development of staff, and safe quality care with improved outcomes.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of regulatory requirements in patient assignment making delegations of tasks, documentation and supervise care for the delivery team.
  • Assumes the responsibility and accountability for the supervision and application of the nursing process throughout the delivery of patient care.
