Job Summary 

The Senior Manager, M&A HR Integration is responsible for providing end-to-end HR support throughout due diligence and integration, managing HR processes, people data, and HR technology as acquired companies transition into the CDW ecosystem. This role manages HR M&A—overseeing all aspects of HR due diligence, integration planning, and post-close execution. Responsibilities include understanding current-state HR processes, identifying risks and gaps, coordinating across HR sub-functions/workstreams (Org Design, Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Shared Services, Talent Management, Payroll), and ensuring a smooth, compliant, and people-centric transition for newly acquired coworkers.

The Senior Manager, M&A HR Integration partners closely with business leaders, HR leadership, Finance, IT, and cross-functional integration teams to ensure alignment, track progress, resolve issues, and deliver a seamless HR integration or HR Due Diligence experience. This role also contributes to the creation and ongoing refinement of CDW’s HR M&A playbook.

What you’ll do 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior business and Backbone executives, elevating the HR perspective, strengthening cross-functional alignment.
  • Lead and project manage all HR components of M&A integration, ensuring cohesive coordination across HR sub-functions.
  • Manage HR due diligence, including assessment of people data, HR policies, compensation programs, benefits offerings, HR risks, organizational structures, culture, and compliance considerations.
  • Build relationships with senior executives
  • Develop HR integration plans, timelines, and workstream deliverables; ensure all HR activities align to overall integration strategy and milestones.
  • Oversee the collection, validation, and migration of people data in partnership with Solutions, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the data conversion process.
  • Work with HR Business Partners to oversee organizational design efforts, ensuring structures, roles, and reporting lines align with CDW’s strategic objectives and integration requirements.
  • Partner with Total Rewards to align compensation and benefits programs and support modeling related to offers, retention plans, and harmonization strategies.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on recruiting transitions, workforce planning, and onboarding for acquired coworkers.
  • Lead HR change management efforts, including communications, training, manager support, and employee experience planning during integration.
  • Identify and mitigate HR risks through proactive assessment and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Monitor HR integration performance metrics, track synergies related to talent and organizational changes, and provide leadership updates.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the HR M&A playbook, ensuring processes remain scalable and adaptable as CDW’s M&A strategy evolves.

What we expect of you 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in HR or related financial field with at least 5 years of HR experience including 1+ years of management experience
  • Prior experience in mergers & acquisitions at enterprise level organizations from an in-house or consulting capacity 
  • Experience with due diligence and integrations recommendations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and maintain productive working relationships cross-functionally.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of accounting and HR principles and practices with ability to apply them in a business analysis situation.
  • Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business, while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications with strong experience in Excel.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational skills with critical attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability and proven track record to coach, develop and mentor teams of internal and/or external people. 
  •  Financial modeling experience, including building pro-forma financials, valuation models, and operating models is preferred
  • MBA is a plus

Pay range: $ 154,000 - $ 214,000 depending on experience and skill set 
Annual bonus target of 15% subject to terms and conditions of plan
