SUMMARY:

  • The hourly Library Aide pay rate to work on assignment in Susquenita School District is $17/hour
  • Schedule: 7:30am - 2:30pm, 30-minute unpaid lunch break, 6.5 paid hours/day
  • 5 days of Paid Time Off (prorated based on hire date)
  • The Library Aide supports the daily operations of the high school library by assisting students and staff with library resources, maintaining an organized and welcoming environment, and performing clerical and technical duties

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist students and staff in locating and using library resources (books, media, databases).
  • Check books and materials in and out using the library management system.
  • Shelve returned materials and maintain proper organization of all resources.
  • Monitor student behavior in the library and enforce school/library policies.
  • Process new materials (labeling, covering, cataloging under librarian direction).
  • Assist with inventory, weeding, and collection maintenance.
  • Help maintain the library’s digital tools and assist students with technology.
  • Supervise students in the library during class periods, lunch, or before/after school.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and engaging learning environment.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma required
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree - preferred
  • Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred

CREDENTIALING :

(Clearances current within 12 months)

  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI
  • TB Screening - current within 3 months
  • Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
