The Radio-Canada Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean team is looking for a videojournalist based at the Alma bureau.
In this position, the successful candidate will produce reports covering the Lac-Saint-Jean territory. The role includes proposing, preparing, and presenting content on Radio-Canada platforms (digital, television, and radio).
The videojournalist must be versatile and able to build a strong network of contacts. She or he must be capable of shooting video using a smartphone and lightweight cameras, taking photos, and editing content. She or he must also be able to deliver information in writing and live on radio and television.
We are looking for a creative, resourceful, rigorous, and autonomous individual with a strong ability to make information accessible to the public. This position requires the ability to work well under pressure and this role reports to the station’s Editor-in-Chief in Saguenay.
The work schedule is variable and the selected candidate must be able to travel throughout the coverage area using a Radio-Canada vehicle.

Qualifications:
A combination of education and experience equivalent to a university degree plus more than three (3) years of relevant practical experience, or a college diploma plus more than five (5) years of relevant practical experience
Skills:
Strong reporting skills
Great on-air presence and dynamism
Excellent interviewing skills
Ability to write clearly and concisely
Ability to generate original story ideas and creative approaches to storytelling
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines and frequent unexpected overtime
Ability to work with evolving technical equipment
Flexibility to regularly collaborate on radio shows, national television, and web platforms
Valid driver’s licence
Creativity in problem-solving
High level of creativity, imagination, curiosity, motivation, and ability to synthesize information
Excellent interpersonal skills
