Your role

We are currently seeking brand ambassadors for the Marketing & Communications team in Quebec’s Mauricie-Centre-du-Quebec region to execute activations during French-speaking community events.

Please note these are casual opportunities (temporary, on-call employment).

Functions:

Conduct on-site activities promoting CBC/Radio-Canada French Services primarily to a French-speaking audience; transport and set up equipment on-site; hand out promotional material; and interact with participants and passers-by, providing them with information about the Corporation and its programming.

Create a memorable experience for Canadians to connect them with the brand!

Responsibilities:

  • Greet the general public.

  • Engage with the public to promote Radio-Canada products (e.g., regional and national programming across our platforms and apps), presenting standout content and encouraging people to check it out.

  • Help set up equipment needed to put on events.

  • Work with on-site contacts to ensure that security measures and public health guidelines are followed.

  • Complete the appropriate forms and documents to follow up on events; compile participant comments and feedback in summary reports, following up as required to help improve future events.

  • Help Radio-Canada stand out from the competition.

Your profile:

Qualifications:

  • University or community college graduation in a relevant field (facilitation, cultural mediation, marketing communications, sales, theatre, film studies or any other specialization related to the duties described above)

  • One (1) or more years’ experience performing similar duties

Skills:

  • Energy and enthusiasm

  • Ability to be resourceful, proactive and trustworthy

  • Interpersonal skills and comfort interacting with people of all ages

  • Ability to speak French fluently

  • Ability to travel across the Estrie region, including Trois-Rivières, Victoriaville, La Tuque and other centres

Assets:

  • Experience as an audience wrangler

  • Knowledge or studies in communications-marketing, sales, film, theater or any other specialization related to the duties described;

  • Knowledge of the media environment and the public broadcaster’s competitive advantages (different mandate from that of private broadcasters)

  • Ability to speak English

  • A valid driver's license for the province (not mandatory but desirable).

Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
