Responsibilities

The Work 

The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment, long-term sustainment, and continuous improvement of business applications and systems. This role will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to schedule, plan, and execute releases; develop and oversee release plans; manage risks and issues; and support change strategies to ensure change readiness and sustainment.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Schedule, plan, and execute application releases. 
  • Develop detailed release plans and oversee release milestones. 
  • Monitor interdependencies between releases and ensure timely resolution of risks and issues. 
  • Automate production release processes and refresh environments for testing purposes. 
  • Create and manage change tickets, reports, and status updates regarding release deployment. 
  • Schedule and coordinate infrastructure-related activities to support operational goals. 
  • Execute project-level change strategies, including measurement of change readiness and long-term sustainability. 
  • Assist in planning and designing business processes, providing recommendations for improvements and enhancements to support business activities. 
  • Anticipate and address organizational impacts related to training, communications, stakeholder buy-in, and behavioral change required for the successful implementation of software applications and systems. 
  • Manage and assess scope changes, reviewing them with key stakeholders such as Customer Directors/Managers or Program Managers, and documenting updates with product owners. 
  • Coordinate testing activities and develop communication strategies to promote team alignment and stakeholder engagement. 
  • Manage RFC documentation and ensure proper filing and tracking of necessary records. 
  • Monitor delinquent RFC submissions, obtain data from submitters, and track RFC completion status for reporting purposes. 
  • Report the status of each RFC to appropriate stakeholders, delivering transparent and accurate updates. 
  • Assist in creating basic test scenarios to verify that client requirements are incorporated into system design. 
  • Coordinate testing activities between business units and technical teams. 
  • Ensure compliance with Electronic Information Resources (EIR) Accessibility requirements and technical specifications throughout the project lifecycle (planning, design, development, and testing phases). 
  • Advocate for integrating EIR Accessibility requirements into all aspects of the project and ensure allocated resources are sufficient to implement accessibility standards. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Level 1: Overall experience of 2 to 5 years of experience in IT operations with solid Change Management knowledge. At least 2 years of experience in change management background, based on ITIL principles and practices. In addition, good knowledge on other ITSM processes. Proven service management background based on ITIL principles and practices. Prosci or Change Management Advance Practitioner (CMAP) credential (preferred). 
  • Level 2: Overall experience of 4 to 7 years of experience in IT operations with solid Change Management knowledge. At least 3 years’ experience in change management background, based on ITIL principles and practices. In addition, good knowledge on other ITSM processes.  Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining rigorous check points while constantly and consistently ensuring projects stay on time, within budget and meets quality standards. Coordinates testing and communication strategies. Proven service management background based on ITIL principles and practices. Prosci or Change Management Advance Practitioner (CMAP) credential (preferred)" 
  • Level 3: 7 or more years of experience in IT operations with solid Change Management knowledge. At least 5 years’ experience in change management background, based on ITIL principles and practices. In addition, good knowledge on other ITSM processes.  Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining rigorous check points while constantly and consistently ensuring projects stay on time, within budget and meets quality standards. Coordinates testing and communication strategies. Proven service management background based on ITIL principles and practices. Prosci or Change Management Advance Practitioner (CMAP) credential (preferred)"

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • 3+ years of experience in release management, change management, and/or IT operations. 
  • Certification in organizational change management, ITIL, or related disciplines is preferred but not required. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder expectations in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage a wide range of stakeholders, including directors, program managers, and technical teams. 
  • Team-oriented approach with the ability to anticipate organizational needs and foster collaboration and buy-in. 
  • Hands-on experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools for change ticketing, release tracking, and reporting. 
  • Proven experience in managing release planning, risk management, and change management processes. 
  • Strong knowledge of business process improvement and a track record of delivering long-term system sustainment and process efficiencies. 
  • In-depth understanding of organizational change management principles and behavioral change strategies. 
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional technology teams (e.g., application development, quality assurance, infrastructure, risk managers). 
  • Comprehensive understanding of testing processes, including the ability to create and validate basic test scenarios. 
  • Familiarity with Request for Change (RFC) documentation and reporting practices. 
  • Solid understanding of Electronic Information Resources (EIR) Accessibility requirements, including technical specifications and implementation strategies.

Working Conditions  

  • Professional office environment, with the ability to work onsite in the main office. 
  • Must reside in the Austin area.  
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties extended periods of time. 
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.  
  • Must be able to establish a productive and professional workspace. 
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time looking at computer screen. 
  • May be asked to work a flexible schedule which may include holidays. 
  • May be asked to travel for business or professional development purposes. 
  • May be asked to work hours outside of normal business hours.
