Roles and Responsibilities:
- Check in patients upon arrival
- Verify/update patient demographics
- Collect outstanding balances and co-pays
- Assist with additional scheduling such as labs, x-rays, procedures, or testing; send orders
- Take messages and triage phone calls
Required Skills and Experience:
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Schedule patient appointments
- Good time management and prioritization skills
- Good computer skills- Medent and Microsoft Office are utilized
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- College-level training/education in a healthcare support field preferred
- Previous EMR use/training helpful
Physical Requirements:
- Sitting-- 90%
- Standing-- 10%
- Reaching-- 50%
- Bending-- 20%
- Lifting-- must be able to lift 25 lb.
Location and Travel Requirements:
- Onsite - Cayuga Women's Health: 401 Cayuga Park Lane, Ithaca, Ny 14850
- Shift: Five 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, 7am - 5:30pm
- Travel: 0% travel can be expected in this role
Pay Range Disclosure:
Standard rate of $16.00 - $23.00 per hour

What you'll do
- The Patient Service Representative is responsible for checking in patients, verifying and updating patient demographics, collecting payments, assisting with scheduling, and triaging phone calls. This role is essential for ensuring a smooth patient experience and effective communication within the healthcare setting.
