Job Details

Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for highly acute and critical patients.
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending Physicians, Critical Care APPs, registered nurses / RNs and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

Requirements

  • Passion for Critical Care Unit
  • 1+ years of experience in telemetry with ability to interpret cardiac rhythms  
  • Experience reading cardiac monitors
  • Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
  • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association
  • Certification:  Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred or Cardio-Vascular Registered Nurse (BC-CVRN)
