Overview

St. Catherine of Siena Hospital is a proud member of Catholic Health and has served the residents of the Smithtown area for more than 50 years. St. Catherine’s is located on the north shore of Long Island in Smithtown. The campus is comprised of 296-bed not-for-profit community hospital; a 240-bed nursing and rehabilitation care center; and a 60,000 square foot medical office building. Job Details

REGISTERED NURSE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates a patient-focused team in providing direct and collaborative health care in a variety of clinical settings designed to promote and restore optimal health across the life span.
  • Utilizes all components of the nursing process in providing care that reflects an understanding of individual cultural and religious diversities and needs, and recognition of patient rights.
  • Utilizes knowledge and expertise in case management provide comprehensive, coordinated, seamless care to individuals and aggregate groups.
  • Coordinates, integrates and facilitates the patient/provider relationship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Current New York State RN License required.
  • BLS and ACLS required.
  • One year med/surg experience and one year of specialty experience preferred.
  • ANA certification or certification from appropriate agency in specialty preferred.
  • Ability to operate all equipment and EMR systems found in care center as necessary to perform all prescribed duties.
  • Ability to handle information with strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Salary Range

USD $55.13 - USD $64.36 /Hr.
