Job Details

Requirements:

    • HS Diploma/GED Required
    • Must have some physician billing experience
    • Experience working in a medical practice is preferred

 

  • Accurately register patient demographics to include insurance information, insurance verification, and email addresses for MyChart
  • Ability to interpret third party coverage to patients
  • Responsible for patient referrals and pre-certification/authorization for outpatient tests and/or inpatient procedures
  • Communicate with other ancillary staff for proper insurance requirements
  • EPIC deposit tool: reconcile daily copayments and complete weekly cash deposit
  • Serve as a resource for staff including all aspects of billing
  • Handle patient billing inquiries
  • Collect patient copayments
  • Charge Entry
  • Support Front Desk with Checking Patients In/Out and Answering Phones as needed
  •  May be assigned additional duties as needed
 


Salary Range

USD $25.00 - USD $35.00 /Hr.



This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and position location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
