Nurse Practitioner (Women’s Health)

FTE: 1.0

 

Position Summary

The Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide advanced clinical care in support of the CHPP Ryan OBGYN practice at Mercy Hospital. This role is essential to expanding the practice from part-time to full-time operations, improving patient access, enhancing throughput efficiency, and supporting growth in market share. The NP will work collaboratively with employed OBGYN physicians and provide additional clinical support to the MIGS program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive women’s health care services, including gynecologic evaluations, prenatal and postpartum care, preventive health screenings, and patient education
  • Manage patient panels independently within scope of practice, with physician collaboration as needed
  • Support increased patient demand from existing and transitioning community providers
  • Assist in improving patient access, clinic flow, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with OBGYN physicians (including hospitalists and MIGS provider) to ensure continuity of care
  • Provide clinical support to the MIGS practice across Mercy Hospital and Southside Hospital, as needed
  • Document care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

  • Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license (Women’s Health or Family NP with women’s health experience preferred)
  • Board-certified Nurse Practitioner
  • Prior experience in obstetrics and gynecology strongly preferred
  • Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a growing, dynamic practice environment
  • Bilingual skills preferred
