Job Details

The CT Scan & MRI Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) departments. This role ensures high-quality imaging services, patient safety, regulatory compliance, staff supervision, and optimal workflow efficiency while maintaining exceptional clinical standards.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Under the direction of the Radiology Director plans and supervises all technical aspects and performs Magnetic Resonance (MR) and Computerized Tomography (CT) examinations,
  • Contributing to the efficient operation of the department
  • Promoting the philosophy to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care. 
  • Supervise daily operations of CT and MRI units to ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality imaging services

  • Ensure adherence to imaging protocols, radiation safety standards, and MRI safety guidelines

  • Monitor patient flow and scheduling to optimize efficiency and reduce wait times

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with biomedical and vendor service teams

  • Supervise, schedule, and evaluate CT and MRI technologists and support staff

  • Provide training, mentorship, and competency assessments for staff

  • Ensure staff compliance with departmental policies, safety procedures, and professional standards

  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations

  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g., ACR, JCI, MOH, OSHA)

  • Oversee quality assurance programs, image quality audits, and corrective action plans

  • Ensure proper documentation and adherence to patient safety and infection control policies

  • Monitor contrast media usage and manage adverse reaction protocols

 

Requirements:

 

  • Must be licensed/registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.(ARRT)
  • Must have current NYS license to practice
  • Bachelor degree in Health or Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Two to five years of MR/CT supervisory experience preferred.
  •  Ability to manage patient and staff during routine operation


Salary Range

USD $57.93 - USD $72.07 /Hr.
