Advanced Practice Provider – Neurology (Hospital-Based)
Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP) or Physician Assistant
Full-Time | Inpatient Setting
We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our hospital-based Neurology service. This role is focused on inpatient neurology consults and ongoing management of hospitalized patients, working closely with attending neurologists in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Position Overview
The APP will provide comprehensive inpatient neurologic care, supporting the neurology consult service across a broad range of conditions. This role involves acute neurologic evaluations, daily rounding, and care coordination for hospitalized patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inpatient neurology consults under physician collaboration
- Conduct daily rounding and patient follow-ups
- Evaluate and manage acute neurologic conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic studies (EEG, imaging, labs)
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary hospital teams
- Provide patient and family education
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Common Conditions Managed
- Acute ischemic stroke and TIA (non-interventional)
- Seizure disorders
- Altered mental status
- Headache and migraine
- Multiple sclerosis exacerbations
- Neuropathy and movement disorders
Schedule
- Full-time hospital-based schedule
- Day and Night shifts – varied schedule
- Weekend /holiday coverage as required
Qualifications
- Nurse Practitioner: Adult-Gerontology Acute Care NP (AG-ACNP) required
- Physician Assistant: Licensed PA eligible for hospital credentialing
- BLS and ACLS – by AHA
- Neurology experience preferred
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced inpatient setting
Certifications & Licensure
- Active state license
- National board certification

Salary Range
USD $69.54 - USD $93.00 /Hr.
