Catholic Health is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Employee Health team. This role supports the health, safety, and well-being of Catholic Health employees through clinical assessment, occupational health services, and regulatory compliance. The APP will work collaboratively with Employee Health staff, HR, Infection Prevention, and leadership across the health system.
Conduct pre-employment, annual, and return-to-work health assessments for employees
Perform clinical evaluations related to occupational injuries, illnesses, and exposures
Manage work-related health issues, including:
Bloodborne pathogen exposures
Immunization assessments and follow-up
Fit testing and medical clearance
Review and interpret lab results, diagnostic testing, and immunization records
Provide employee education on workplace health, safety, and infection prevention
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR
Collaborate with HR, Risk Management, Infection Prevention, and leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, NYSDOH, CDC)
Participate in policy development and quality improvement initiatives related to employee health
Licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State
National certification as an NP or PA
Experience in Employee Health, Occupational Health, Primary Care, or Urgent Care preferred
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
Knowledge of occupational health regulations and infection control standards preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
