Older Adult Centers promote an active life for seniors. The centers aim to assist them in preserving their independence and health by offering a wide range of activities and services, such as breakfast, lunch, health screenings, social services, educational workshops, class exercises, discussion groups, games, art classes, lectures, workshops, organized outings, and special events.
STATEMENT OF THE JOB
Social Service Assistant at the Alzheimer’s Adult Day Program will assist the clients with their daily therapeutic activities as well as perform administrative and receptionist tasks Sweep, mop, wax, and vacuum all floors and stairways.
- Provide Intervention and follow-up with ADC challenges
- Chart progress of clients on daily basis
- Provides direct service to the clients
- Participate in program therapeutic recreational activities
- Responsible for the health, safety and wellbeing for clients on site.
- Maintain daily meal count
- Maintain monthly billing report for clients
- Perform clerical functions- filing and distributing daily mail deliveries.
- Enter data into funding source’s software
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in clerical and office skills.
- Good verbal and written command of Language.
- Good time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Frequently lifts and moves up to 25 pounds.
