The Head Start Family Child Care Program is available through the Family Child Care Network (Family Child Care Provider Homes). All Family Child Care Homes provide free quality services to young children and to their families’ ages 3 to 5 years of age. Families are respected as partners in the early care and education process with their children. The Family Child Care Providers’ homes are nurturing learning environments that promote children’s cognitive, social, emotional, language literacy, and physical development. Providers are caring and competent educators who guide the children ‘s learning experiences by exposing them to a variety of developmentally appropriate Montessori activities. Providers strives to actively engage parents, recognizing family participation throughout the program, as a key to a child’s robust. development as well as to offer the learning experiences tailored to the changing needs and abilities of children.
STATEMENT OF THE JOB
The Family Services Coordinator is responsible to coordinate parent involvement and education programs. Under direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Family Services Coordinator will directly supervise Family Assistants and Family Workers providing on-going guidance and support. Responsibilities include but not limited to coordinate recruitment and registration efforts of perspective clients; maintain all intake data; attend and participate in all family related matters; assist families in with family related matters and concerns.
