Job Summary:

Caterpillar is seeking a Senior HR Technology Partner – Workday Payroll to work with internal and external teams to configure, enhance and manage Workday Payroll and third-party payroll systems and assists in implementation of projects and technical troubleshooting.


What You Will Do:

  • Configuring and testing payroll calculations and business processes within Workday Payroll

  • Optimizing Workday Payroll performance and ensuring design is to Workday best practices and compliant to meet the changing needs of the business

  • Working with other functional analysts to design and prototype cross-functional solutions

  • Participating in system testing (Unit, Integration, UAT) to ensure the successful deployment of application enhancements and releases including but not limited to pay components, tax configurations and period schedules.

  • Investigating and resolving human resources technology issues, unexpected results, or process gaps

  • Intermediate level of configuration and process design

  • Troubleshooting, analyzing and correcting technical issues of low to medium complexity

What You Will Have:
Collaborating: Knowledge of collaborative techniques; ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Gathering and Analyzing Data/Reports: Knowledge of tools, techniques and processes to gather and analyze data/reports. 


Requirements Analysis: Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

Technical Troubleshooting: Knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, recognize, and resolve technical issues within Workday or operations.

Workday Payroll: Knowledge of all the core concepts of Workday Payroll; Ability to configure Workday Payroll calculations and process payroll.

Additional Information:

  • This position is located in Irving, TX requires a 5-day-a-week onsite schedule.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

Summary Pay Range:

$112,710.00 - $169,060.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
