Job Summary:
Join Cat Digital’s Data Architecture & Solutioning team to design and evolve enterprise‑scale data architecture that powers Caterpillar’s digital ecosystem. You’ll lead end‑to‑end solution architectures on Cat Digital’s data platform, drive trusted interoperable data products, and partner with engineering and product teams to accelerate time‑to‑data‑value for data consumers enabling applications, analytics, and marketing.

What You Will Do:

• Developing detailed data architecture deliverables to solve business problems.
• Designing data solutions which includes system-to-system data flows, conceptual data models, and logical data models.
• Leading the evaluation and deployment of new solutions to add or enhance existing data product capabilities.
• Participating in addressing business requirements for applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver digital and data solutions that meets business results.

What You Will Have:

• Data Architecture: Extensive knowledge of processes, techniques and factors that affect data architecture; ability to design blueprints on how to integrate data resources for business processes and functional support.
• Analytical Thinking: Extensive knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
• Effective Communications: Working understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
• Requirements Analysis: Working knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.
   

Considerations for Top Candidates:

• Semantic modeling experience.
• Data modeling experience 5+ years.
• Experience designing/architecting cloud-based solutions.

Additional Information:

This position will have the option to be based out of our Chicago, IL; Irving, TX or Peoria, IL offices.

Summary Pay Range:
