Summary of Performance Expectations:
The Managed Care/ Decision Support Data Analyst will focus on improving profitability and operational efficiency through data analysis, contract management, and process optimization. Key responsibilities include mapping and analyzing workflows, implementing process improvement methodologies, automation to streamline processes, and managing projects to enhance efficiency. The analyst will facilitate business initiatives, data analysis and reporting, collaborate with cross-functional internal teams, and ensure business processes are effectively modeled and documented. Additionally, they will engage with external teams and customers to address business needs, manage payer relationships, and drive the adoption of new technologies. The analyst will play a critical role supporting the professional growth of team members to ensure high performance and alignment with organizational objectives.
Education & Credentials:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Finance, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or a related field, with 3-4 years Hospital experience.
5+ years Hospital experience, with experience in any combination of, data analysis and reporting, or hospital business experience. Proficiency in database and spreadsheet management required.
Preferred
Master’s degree preferred along with one or more relevant certifications, (e.g., CHCRS, CHFP, CRCR, CSAF, CSAPM, CSBI, CSPR, CSPPM, EHRC, FHFMA, Lean or Six Sigma). Within 6 months of Hire
Work Experience:
Required
Five years of experience in healthcare, with proven ability in process improvement and system implementation. Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights.program.
Preferred
Experience in integrated financial/clinical analysis and reporting expertise. With one or more HFMA Healthcare certification(s), (e.g., CHCRS, CHFP, CRCR, CSAF, CSAPM, CSBI, CSPR, CSPPM, EHRC, FHFMA. May allow incumbent to obtain within 6-9 months of employment.
