Field Scientist, BioAnalytical Services
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile professional to join our team as a Field Scientist. This role combines technical subject matter expertise with field-facing sales and thought leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver, a confident communicator, and a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
This is a field-based, remote role that will require travel as needed.
The Role
- Support training and onboarding of field teams with technical content and tools.
- Support field teams with sales tools, competitive intelligence, and customer engagement materials by working with product management and sales leadership.
- Participate in customer meetings and events to represent the company’s technical and strategic value.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop campaigns, collateral, and digital content tailored to field needs.
- Serve as a technical resource for internal teams and external stakeholders, providing insights and guidance on capabilities, applications, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with scientists, product management, and business development to ensure alignment on technical messaging and product positioning.
- Create and maintain sales tools, presentations, and collateral tailored to field needs.
- Other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the bio, pharma, medical device industries, or other related industries
- Strong network of Analytical Scientists within given territory a must.
- Bachelor’s degree in scientific area required. Science related MS, Ph.D. or MBA (with science BS) preferred.
Pay:
The annual pay range for this position in California is $149,200 - 215,000
The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
