The Sales Associate is responsible for identifying and generating high-value opportunities for our Account Executives to close. The Sales Associate will become a trusted resource and develop relationships with prospects, acting as the initial point of contact. This role will be primarily focused on researching the Target Accounts in their territory and performing outreach through emails, calls, and LinkedIn.


The Sales Associate role is your foot in the door to the wide, lucrative world of B2B sales. The Team: 


The Sales Associate team is full of diverse, energetic, passionate, and collaborative folks who are seeking to grow their careers and develop their sales skill set. Our team is often the first interaction between Carrot and a prospective client, so our impact and opportunity is massive. We are looking for someone to hit the ground running and help us continue to evolve and succeed! You will report directly to the Manager of Sales Development. 


Minimum Qualifications:



  • At least 1 year of in Sales experience (in any industry/capacity)

  • Fast learner who craves knowledge 

  • Motivated by money and opportunity

  • Goal-oriented

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills

  • Clear history of diligent process and clear follow-up abilities

  • Experience persevering despite challenges

  • Experience with sales tools (SalesLoft/Outreach, Salesforce, SalesNav, etc.)

  • Independent self-starter who also works well on a team

  • Passionate about providing inclusive coverage to marginalized populations


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 6-9 months of experience as an SDR

  • Professional experience in a client-facing role

  • Professional experience in Benefits/Healthcare


 


Compensation: 


Carrot offers a holistic Total Rewards package designed to support our employees in all aspects of their lives inside and outside of work, including health and wellness benefits, retirement savings plans, short- and long-term incentives, parental leave, family-forming assistance, and a competitive compensation package. The starting base salary for this position will range from $55,000.00 - $65,000.00, plus a variable. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
