The Partnerships Development Director, in collaboration with the VP of Strategic Partnerships, will lead the development and execution of new strategic partnerships by identifying high-impact market opportunities, designing differentiated partnership models and narratives, and driving deals from initial pitch through negotiation to contract close. This role blends market insight, commercial & operational rigor, and executive storytelling to deliver scalable, long-term value.


You’ll be a critical part of the commercial team, responsible for bringing net-new partners to Carrot and accelerating the next phase of growth. The ideal candidate is polished, strategically minded, and highly driven.  You’re comfortable with the unknown and independently charting a new territory.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Assess market size, partner fit, competitive landscape and value creation

  • Identify and prioritize net new partnership opportunities that are aligned to Carrot’s growth strategy

  • Lead initial outreach and pitch conversations with prospective partners - at all levels and functions

  • Coordinate internal stakeholders, track deal stage progression and proactively follow up to keep deals moving forward.

  • Ensure external and internal alignment before formal contracting begins- including but not limited to business terms, partnership milestones, GTM strategies

  • Assist with contract negotiation and execution


 


The Team: 


You will be joining the Partnerships team that sits under the Commercial Organization and will work alongside other partner activation managers. You will report directly to the VP, Partnerships. 


 


Minimum Qualifications: 



  • A Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5 years of experience in consulting, partnerships, strategy, or in a strategic sales role

  • Experience assessing market opportunity and partner fit

  • Ability to develop and deliver tailored partnership pitches and value propositions

  • Hands-on experience managing pipeline and opportunities in a CRM (ex: Salesforce)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level interactions


 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Proven experience sourcing and progressing net-new partnership opportunities

  • Strong track record of successful partnership deal structures

  • Ability to coordinate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across multiple teams and levels

  • Familiarity with contract negotiations


 


Compensation:

The starting base salary for this position will range from $160,000- $180,000. Actual compensation may vary from posted base salary depending on your confirmed job-related skills and experience.
