Our Manager, Loan Processing is responsible for overseeing the assigned Loan Processing function to ensure all Loan Processors provide quality loan processing and ensure adherence to underwriting standards and completeness of all submissions. Ensure loans are actively processed in accordance with the established workflows and turn times. Identifies process improvements and course corrects if needed to meet timelines. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates. The target pay for this position is $80,000 - $95,000 annually.
What you'll do:
- Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable
laws, including hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; monitoring
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints; and resolving problems. - Monitor staffing and workflow to ensure proper staffing levels to meet production needs.
- Hire and train new processing staff, and supervisors as applicable.
- Mentor, motivate, and assist team members to meet and exceed processing turn times.
- Monitor processing pipeline for activity, status and accuracy.
- Train and update processing staff on all operational procedures and investor guidelines and
procedures. - Instruct and enforce team members’ adherence to all state and federal regulations, mortgage
lending and underwriting guidelines, and RESPA requirements. - Resolve, escalate, or remedy customer service issues in a professional manner.
- Monitor pipeline and ensure all required activities are being performed by Borrower, Realtor, Closing
Agent, and Appraisal Management Company to ensure timely loan closings. - Follow up with processing and team management regarding inactive loans and data integrity.
- Monitor processing workflows to identify and implement enhancements or changes as needed.
- Assist the Processors and Sales Managers in resolving complex processing situations involving
investor guidelines, processing systems and internal procedures.
What you'll need:
- Strong knowledge of all state and federal regulations, mortgage lending and underwriting
guidelines, and RESPA requirements. - Strong knowledge of the mortgage industry, loan products and programs (FHA, FNMA, FHLMC,
Jumbo, VA, USDA, etc.), - Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain highly confidential information in accordance with Company’s privacy policy
concerning borrower confidential information. - High level of organizational skills and ability to work on several tasks simultaneously
- Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions
