About the role
Conduct routine preventive and corrective maintenance on centrifugal chillers (e.g., Carrier, York, Trane, etc.).
Perform inspection and calibration of critical chiller components.
Monitor and analyze chiller performance data, vibration patterns, refrigerant levels, and operating pressures.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control faults in centrifugal chillers.
Rectify compressor issues, refrigerant leaks, oil system abnormalities, and control system alarms.
Supervisor our mechanic to perform overhauls of compressors, motors, gearboxes, related rotating equipment and replace defective components (valves, sensors, actuators, control boards, etc.).
Provide technical advice to clients, facility teams, and internal departments.
Recommend system optimization opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
Assist in root‑cause analysis for major equipment failures.
Prepare service reports, maintenance records, checklists, and parts usage logs.
Maintain accurate history of equipment performance and service activities.
Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to supervisor and customers.
Follow all safety procedures, lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO), confined space, and refrigerant handling standards according to Carrier EH&S standard
Ensure compliance with industry regulations (ASHRAE, local codes, environmental and refrigerant management laws).
Higher Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related disciplines.
3–5 years of experience in servicing centrifugal chillers or large HVAC systems.
Experience with major chiller brands preferred.
Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, thermodynamics, and rotating machinery.
Skilled in diagnosing faults in compressors, motors, VFDs, oil systems, and control systems.
Ability to read wiring diagrams, P&ID drawings, and mechanical schematics.
Familiarity with microprocessor‑based chiller controls ).
Registered Electrical worker Class A / B.
Safety training: LOTO, confined space, first aid, etc.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Good communication and customer‑handling ability.
Able to work independently and under pressure.
Willingness to work on-site, in mechanical rooms, and during emergency call-outs.
