About this role

Our Employee-Owned company has immediate full-time openings for a Pre-Fabrication Technicians in the Southeast. This position will work within Industrial, Commercial, Healthcare and Federal businesses and be part of an amazing and GROWING team! All positions are regular, full-time and benefits eligible. Pay range depending on experience, skills, and knowledge.

Job Duties:

- Assembling electrical devices, components, and systems in a work shop environment
- Measuring, cutting, bending, painting and labeling components per design drawings.
- Fabricating products out of different materials.
- Read and understand assembling instructions/worksheets/drawings provided.
- Select materials and assemble components per drawings and direction of supervisor.
- Use small hand tools and power tools as instructed.
- Work productively through repetitive tasks.
- Material handling - inventory control, storage and organizing.
- Loading and unloading material trucks by hand or with equipment.
- Packing and palletizing products.
- Keep work are clean and free of clutter and hazards.
- Identify waste and recommend elimination methods.
- Recommend continuous process improvement strategies.
- Perform other tasks as directed by the shop supervisor.
- Pre-plan and identify the methods needed to eliminate hazards on a daily basis for every work task.
- Exhibit proficiency in observing the habits of others, while bringing any hazards or potential dangers to their attention.
- Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company while supporting the objective of achieving zero accidents.


Requirements:

 

High school diploma (or equivalent) required

1+ year relevant experience

Possess basic math skills

Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic schematics

Experience, Skill and Abilities 

 

Provide knowledge, skills and availabilities needed to perform the jobs (i.e. language, software applications, etc.)   

Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams)

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Physical Requirements 

Frequent time spent in warehouse and shop, exposing employee to noise and moving machinery

Lift at least 50 pounds 

Constant moving on your feet 

Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
