As a Process Engineer Intern based at our Corporate Offices in Richmond, VA, you will play a key role in identifying opportunities within large-scale projects to drive continuous improvement using Lean principles. You’ll collaborate closely with operations teams to uncover areas for enhancement and influence stakeholders to implement impactful changes. Your contributions will help differentiate CarMax in the marketplace and shape the future of both our company and the industry.

As a Process Engineer Intern, you will spend your time:

• Collaborating – partnering with leaders across the organization to learn about our business and identifying creative ways to solve problems
• Innovating – being bold in the pursuit of excellence and identifying opportunities to leverage your expertise to drive meaningful impacts to the business
• Working with store teams and store management to determine and understand critical processes
  • Possible store visits/minor travel involved (dependent on company travel policy at time of internship)
• Involvement in key areas will include:
  • Streamlining processes
  • Facility Planning
  • Work Measurements (Time Studies)
  • Production Planning and Inventory Control
  • Support and manage Engineering documents
