About this role

Overview

Provides basic, quality patient focused wound care and dressing changes in the inpatient setting under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse (RN) in accordance with the standards of practice and within guidelines of corresponding state regulations.
Qualifications

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA), Education: , Work Experience:
Responsibilities

Establishes and maintains positive patient and staff relationships through empathy and compassion and contributes to a harmonious environment. Able to indentify and report any issues that arise during wound care treatments. Assists with treating acute and chronic wounds, including pressure injuries, other wound types, and infected wounds. Relays pertinet patient information to he bedside RN. Educates patient/significant other about their condition, dressing changes, and treatment plan when delgated by bedside RN. Follows infection control policies and procedures dring patient care as indicated. Assists with dressing removals as needed. Performs wound cleansing and dressing applications as assigned by the RN. Utilizes technology to track wound care patients, recored treatment data,and commuincate with medical professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $17.89per hour - $28.98per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
