The Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the practice of nursing. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice. Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.Acts as preceptor and supports the development of other staff and healthcare students.Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.Assists Nursing Supervisor/coordinator in the development of departmental standing orders.The RN will provide care and telephone triage to patients with assessment, implementation, and evaluation. Assist in minor procedures done within the office under the supervision of a licensed physician or advanced practice provider. Assist in administering medications and injections guided by a licensed physician or advanced practice provider. Provide patient education to patients and parents. Completing paperwork for local schools for medication administration, yearly physicals, and specialty physicians.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $30.39per hour - $52.27per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
