About this role
The Mechanic 2 is responsible for the preventative and standard maintenance of all mechanical equipment and their associated systems at Carle. Other duties may include but are not limited to. Moving furniture and light carpenter duties, hanging shelves, pictures etc. Assists Facilities Mechanics III, IV and Lead as directed.

Performs all essential job functions of Maintenance Mechanic I.Identifies and corrects equipment malfunction in emergency situations, power failure, water leaks, etc.Identifies and corrects mechanical and minor electrical deficiencies. Detects structural, general carpentry, and roofing problems and either corrects or has corrected by proper trades.Conducts mechanical, and to some degree electrical, preventative maintenance checksPerform assigned preventative maintenance.Coordinates and plans relocation of personnel, furniture and equipment.Installs furniture, cabinetry and some light carpentry

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $20.59per hour - $34.39per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
