About this role

Overview

The Transition to Practice Program Coach provides staff hired into the programs with ongoing guidance to achieve their greatest potential. Responsible for monitoring onboarding / orientation process and implementing changes. Conducts and facilitates classroom and on the job training to synthesize knowledge, increase skill development and promote interpersonal growth. Works closely with preceptors and unit leadership. Completes and evaluates benchmark data for each orientee. Aids in the planning and execution of the programs events. Provides a high level of support to staff hired through the programs to support strong retention and engagement.
Qualifications

Certifications: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); CMA or RMA certification - Varies; Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA), Education: College Diploma: Nursing; H.S. Diploma/GED (Required), Work Experience: Ambulatory clinical
Responsibilities

Monitors and completes competency modules. Support staff through intensive rounding in department and individual coaching sessions. Collaborate with team members to develop schedules and create preceptor assignments. Collaborate with department staff to foster open and strong relationships and maintain clear communication with department leadership teams. Engages in and conducts classroom learning by employing a diverse range of instructional methods. Support recruitment and retention events as needed. Conducts analysis through the onboarding / orientation process to assure advancement of skill and provision of safe patient care. Conducts and facilitates classroom learning. Shadow staff to ensure the progression of skills. Provide real-time feedback to support continuous progression. Complete all mandatory training and competency modules.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $26.94per hour - $44.99per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
