About this role

Overview

Carle Health is seeking Neonatal Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to join our Level III NICU team at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.


Opportunity Details

  • Join a growing team of 8 Nurse Practitioners and 6 Neonatologists
  • 48-bed NICU including a 14-bed step-down unit
  • Dedicated 24-hour Neonatologist Physician team coverage
  • Schedule will consist of a combination of 10-24 hour shifts, depending on experience
  • 600+ admissions and 3000+ deliveries per year
  • Attend high risk deliveries and perform standard NICU procedures such as: intubation, lumbar punctures, PICC lines, Umbilical Catheterization, and chest tubes
  • Dedicated Neonatal and Perinatal air and ground transport team
  • Flexible schedule including evenings/nights and holidays

Education Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant 
  • PA applicants will need to have completed a NICU APP Fellowship or have previous experience practicing as a NICU PA

Licensure/Certification Requirements:
Current Illinois registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse license. Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certification and licensure required.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $64.03 - $83.23/hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
