About this role

Overview

 

This position will have you working 1 day a week on Monday from 8am-430pm.

 

Drives to contract hospitals to pick-up soiled linen and delivering clean linen. Collects Carle Richland Memorial hospital soiled laundry and contract hospitals, sorts and weighs, loads and unloads, washes and dries according to established policies, procedures and instructions for machine operation. Maintains established standards for quality control and compliance with regulatory requirements. Cross trains in the Housekeeping Unit and works in Housekeeping as needed.

Responsibilities

Responsible for operation of Laundry truck to pick up soiled linen and deliver clean linen to contract hospitals.Loads and unloads soiled linen from contract hospitals.Remove linens from washers, loads and unloads dryers and sorts linen in clean linen area in preparation for finishing.Examines articles for stains, tears or otherStacks linens for distribution or places them in supply storage.Reports linen supply shortages to supervisor.Cleans delivery equipment and assists with other cleaning duties in laundry/linen department.Folds, sorts and stacks items on table or in carts.Train all new employees for linen tasks.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $16.45per hour - $26.65per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
