About this role
The Grounds Generalist II assists and provides support in the operations of the Carle Facilities Services group relative to facilities maintenance. Such activities include, but are not limited to, maintenance of landscape, irrigation install, repair and setup, chemical and fertilization applications, snow removal, mechanical maintenance of equipment, pruning and all grounds related functions.
Qualifications
Certifications: Licensed Commercial Not-For-Hire Applicator within 1 year - Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDA)Illinois Department of Agriculture (IDA); Driver's License - Illinois Secretary of State (ILSOS)Illinois Secretary of State (ILSOS)
Education: Experience In Lieu of Education; Associate's Degree: Landscape Horticulture; Associate's Degree: General Studies

Responsibilities
Assists with all aspects of landscape maintenance and construction.Assists with appropriate preventative/corrective action of turf and plant diseases, fungus, weed control and other naturally destructive organisms by use of special equipment and chemicals.Maintains turf and landscaped areas.Operates commercial / industrial grade equipment for landscaping, maintenance of grounds, parking decks and snow removal.Operates, maintains and repairs to irrigation systems. Applies appropriate amounts of water to turf and landscape areas.Trouble shoots Electronic valves, low voltage and panels. Replace, test and fix rotatory heads and control modules.Performs preventative maintenance / repair of equipment such as; minor engine and electric system repairs, set up and calibration.Pruning of deciduous, evergreen and woody plant materials with proper timing, skill and technique.Assists with monitoring of Carle rental propertiesPerforms all essential job functions of Grounds Generalist I position

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $17.91per hour - $29.01per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
