Job Title: On-Call Caregiver (Weekend Coverage)
Schedule:
On-call weekends from Friday 5:00 PM to Monday 9:00 AM
Availability during holidays and emergency situations may be required.
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced On-Call Caregiver to provide weekend coverage and support caregiving operations. This role requires strong caregiving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate schedules quickly in urgent situations. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and experienced in assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
Responsibilities
- Provide direct caregiving support as needed, including assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and feeding
- Remain on-call and available during assigned weekend hours
- Respond promptly to call-offs, emergencies, or schedule changes
- Ensure continuity of care and proper caregiver coverage
- Communicate clearly and professionally with caregivers, clients, and supervisors
- Follow all care plans, safety protocols, and company policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a caregiver or in a similar healthcare support role
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ADLs
- Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to multitask and make quick decisions under pressure
- Dependable, flexible, and responsive during on-call hours
- Compassionate, professional, and client-focused
Preferred Skills
- Previous on-call or weekend caregiving experience
- Familiar with in home care shift and schedules
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements
- Ability to assist with transfers and mobility as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift in accordance with caregiving duties
