<strong>Role Summary</strong> </div><div>The Communications & Engagement Assistant will provide administrative and creative support for internal communications, social media, and community engagement initiatives. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent graduate eager to learn and grow in communications and marketing within a mission-driven organization. </div><div> </div><div>
<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong> </div><ul>
<li>Assist with drafting internal newsletters, announcements, and employee communications. </li>
<li>Help schedule and post content on social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X). </li>
<li>Support creation of PowerPoint presentations and branded materials for events and community outreach. </li>
<li>Conduct basic research for press releases, blog posts, and community initiatives. </li>
<li>Organize and maintain media lists, content calendars, and digital assets. </li>
<li>Track engagement metrics and compiling simple reports for leadership. </li>
<li>Provide general administrative support to the Communications & Engagement Specialist. </li>

<strong>Qualifications</strong> </div><ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field. </li>
<li>Strong writing and organizational skills. </li>
<li>Familiarity with social media platforms (personal use acceptable). </li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint required). </li>
<li>Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment. </li>

<strong>Working Conditions</strong> </div><ul>
<li>Regular weekday schedule, with occasional flexibility to support internal events or community activities </li>
<li>Frequent use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment </li>
<li>Daily work involves writing, editing, scheduling content, and preparing digital and print materials </li>
<li>Ongoing collaboration with the Communications & Community Relations Specialist and HR team </li>
<li>Regular interaction with employees, vendors, and external community partners </li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment </li>
<li>Prolonged periods of sitting and screen time while drafting content and preparing reports </li>
<li>Occasional standing, walking, or light lifting when assisting with events or outreach activities </li>
<li>Some local travel may be required for community events or organizational functions </li>
