About this role

Job Summary:

This Sr. Director, Care Management Administration is responsible for providing strategic, operational, and administrative support to the Senior Vice President of Care Management and Department leadership by overseeing key processes that keep the Care Management department functioning smoothly and aligned with enterprise standards. This position will support realignment of teams around the CM strategic vision, streamline operations to enhance efficiency and act as a trusted advisor to shape and execute long term strategies.

Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate daily operations and executive workflow.
  • Oversee key cross departmental initiatives, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Represent CM by participating in enterprise initiatives and support cross-departmental activities.
  • Manage internal and external department communication and information flow – facilitating communication, synthesizing information for decision-making and ensuring alignment across CM verticals.
  • Develop executive-level decks, briefs, and talking points.
  • Manage the execution of administrative processes to ensure efficiency and alignment with enterprise standards including management of development and documentation of operating procedures
  • Manage financial processes to support departmental operations.
  • Oversee workforce management processes, including staffing and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to track departmental performance.
  • Implement risk oversight measures to mitigate potential issues.
  • Coordinate the annual Departmental goal setting strategy and ensure alignment with and performance against corporate objectives.
  • Facilitate development and oversee the management of the annual departmental administrative budget activities.
  • Work with CM leadership to ensure that departmental financial, budget, growth, medical and administrative cost forecast/budget objectives are met
  • Develop and provide oversight of all internal and external Departmental communication forums
  • Manage key issues and work to resolve to maintain contract compliance and responsiveness
  • Perform any other job related duties as requested.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or health care field required
  • Master's degree
  • Equivalent years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of required education
  • Five (5) years of experience leading division and corporate initiatives required
  • Five (5) years of management experience in managed care setting required

  • Strong ability to teach best practice, engagement strategies for successful member participation (including motivational interviewing, best practice engagement techniques)
  • Executive and Strategic management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-past environment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio

  • None
Working Conditions:
  • General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to travel as required by the needs of the department.

Compensation Range:

$135,600.00 - $237,400.00

CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
